University of Waikato - TT Block

The University of Waikato appointed BFG to provide a turnkey FF&E fitout for their School of Educational Leadership and Policy & School of Human Development and Movement Studies, with the overall purpose providing staff and students a modern and inviting place for collaboration and study and a modern workplace environment.

Upon being selected as the successful tenderer for the FF&E package in a decidedly competitive tender process, BFG worked in partnership with the University of Waikato project team, working through each area of the building to ensure the furniture selected was fit for purpose for tertiary students in terms of teaching spaces, laboratory spaces, workplace and the addition of a multicultural space.

Included in this fitout was a myriad of furniture from Apex fixed & electric sit to stand desks; to upholstered desk screens; Verve task chairs, meeting tables both static and folding; leaners & seating; tertiary classroom & laboratory furniture, bespoke breakout furniture and a number of refurbished items that just needed a new lease of life.

This was a staged delivery and installation for a total supply fit-out across several levels. BFG were awarded the contract for total fit-out supply in September 2024, with completion in February 2025.

The BFG team, collectively, worked seamlessly to stage the deliveries and installation to ensure each level was on time and available for the stakeholders to occupy and for them to enjoy their new fitout.
